TRIO students reach out to community

Recently TRIO students went to retirement homes to spend time with the elder community by writing them cards and just hanging out with them. They made fleece blankets that they donated to kids in need. The note that they got from Department of human services says ” I wanted to thank you for the gift from my family, they loved the blankets so much i even got a picture in 30 mins.” This is a great thing because we are giving back to the community that is suffering because of the outbreak. Doing little stuff like this can make someones day/life way better. TRIO helps students reach their full potential while having fun at the same time. You go on trips and you get help with your homework. These kids that gave back from the community are from Spencer, Estherville, and Emmetsburg.
