As the cases seem to keep going up in Iowa many college students are quarantined from exposer or tested positive.

What do Students do in quarantine? How do they get their food? How do they do classes? Do they have to stay on campus or can they go home?

“During the first few days it was nice but towards the end of it I was really looking forward to getting out,” Said Wesley Moorse a student at Iowa Lakes at the Estherville campus. ” I had found ways to keep my self entertained so it seem like the time I had to be quarantined went by fast. I decided to stay on campus so I don’t infect my family at home especially since my brother is a high risk to getting it.”

“It was ok,” Said Nicole Benson a student at Iowa Lakes at the Emmetsburg campus.” Housing brought our food to our dorms. I pretty much just slept and did homework along with watching a little bit of T.V.. I had online classes and had to skip labs.”

“Personally it never got worse than a cold for me. I went in thinking that this is gonna suck and I will just want to sleep (which I mostly did) but on top of all that I found ways to make sure my homework was done, chat with friends through social media, and even watch T.V..” -Moorse

“I was bored the whole time because I always have to be doing something. Its bad if you are an extrovert and being told to stay in one spot otherwise for the most part it was fine.-Benson

Iowa cases seem to keep climbing so please we all ask that you wear a mask and stay home if you are sick. Wash your hands for 20 seconds and don’t touch your face.
