The Iowa Lake’s volleyball season is almost ready to get started. They officially start their season on January 16 at home against North Iowa Area Community College.

Iowa Lakes Community College is now preparing for the upcoming season with three scrimmage games vs Southwestern Community College and Iowa Western Community College and against Southeastern Community College.

Iowa Lakes hopes off to get to a much better start this season after going 10 and 21 overall record this year. “The goal for this season is try to be as competitive as we can try to push the matches’ to going four games or five games. Last year we had a hard time only playing three games said head coach Mike Turnbull”.

“Turnbull also mentions we have some new women in the program that are going to try to change that for this season. Mady Brevik is an excellent player who played at Harris Lake Park last year that I have recruited. She showed excellent leadership I saw for her high school team and that’s what exactly what we need on this team. She plays the back row very efficiently as well.

“Brevik says I hope I can come in and make a difference on this team I know they have struggled last year. I am going to do the best I can with a positive attitude to try to turn this program around. “I know we will go through some up and downs with this many freshmen on the team I hope as a team we can do better than last season. We have been working really hard this offseason and overall as a group I think we are playing really well I hope we can keep this focus for the whole season.
