Covid 19 has impacted Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes has moved everything online and the instructors had to make all the classes online for the students. “Brett Fuelberth an instructor at the college said this change this last month has been really hard to go online. It has been way different than teaching the students face to face especially in my program teaching choir. I am trying to use canvas the best I can for the work I am giving out to the students.”

The Virus has impacted a lot at Iowa Lakes Community College and with that came a lot of change. Major changes we have had a lot of them with the college being shut down the rest of the year.

Another instructor at the college Mark Rosenburg says it is really difficult to do my program online. First off you students have to download all the software on there computers like adobe and I use four different programs on there. When I taught it face to face we got to use the computers at the school and it was not a problem at all. It took at least a week to make sure everyone had the right programs. It is working now better but it just took a really long time for everyone was figuring out what was going on.

Change can be tough in a lot of ways during this virus and these teachers are trying to figure it out to one step at a time and it’s not easy for anyone. But I am sure everyone is going to get through this and everything will be back to normal sooner than later.
