On February 18th Iowa Lakes had a Convocation on the ZUZU African Acrobats from Africa. These African Acrobats have performed in two super bowls and took second place in America’s got talent tv show. They had quite the entertainment for the Iowa Lakes Community College.
“How Iowa Lakes got to host this awesome event said Katie Larson” Who is in charge of the student senate at Iowa lakes”. They perform at a lot of places around the world and were performing at a high school close by Estherville and told them to come here to Iowa lakes to both campuses and they said they would do it. “It was such a pleasure for them to come because they do this awesome show all over the world and got to go to the super bowl two times to do this. We were really lucky to have them come here”.
The students really enjoyed the show as well as the gym was full of Iowa lakes students to watch this awesome event. A lot of other people came to watch this event also as they must of heard it was going on. “Matthew Tift an Iowa Lakes student said “It was a really great show they I don’t know how they can do what they do it must take them year’s of practice to do what they do.
The coolest thing I saw them do is one guy balanced himself on chairs like a headstand. I have never seen anything like it before. He would work his way up all the way to the top and they would keep adding more chairs. It really caught the attention of the audience every time they would add another chair.
Another thing they did that was cool was dance to there own music and do dance moves you would never see before. One guy spun around his head with a hat on.
I think more collages should get the ZUZU African Acrobats to come to there collage it’s a great show for anyone to enjoy.
